Line 2

I have been using line2 for three years and I find it much better than any other cell phone company. Line2 is affordable and give you more services.. Email messages texting.. I use it on my iPad, its the best...

Line2 is a life saver

On the recommendation of a friend I signed up for Line2 for my iPad for two reasons: I still have a dumb phone which loses its charge at inopportune times so Line2 is my back up phone. Primarily I use Line2 for texting for my business. The keys are big enough on my iPad for this. Love ir!

Good product but not perfect

The app/service works pretty well. Calls are clear and almost always connect seamlessly. Opening a call from the lock screen is too cumbersome though as it takes too many steps just to accept the call. Also group messages almost never seem to work for me. Regular texting from person to person works just as youd expect. Still needs more work but I love that I can use just wifi to communicate!

Good App for second line

Ive been using Line2 for several years to have my personal cell number on my corporate issued iPhone. Works very well. Performance has come a long way. Still lacks MMS however which is sometimes a badly needed feature.

Business line

Great app, needs to resolve a few issues but its good for my business. The new format for iPad is going to take some getting use to...

Mostly A Good Option

Nicely functional... Often glitchy/Buggy. Ive used at my business line for 3+ years. Better than carrying a second phone ;) Calls on actual phone kick you off line2 calls. Aggravating!!

Great

Great, only problem is when my real phone rings it stops !!!

Great App

Great App overall! Love that it has texting and emails you when you miss a call! The only things I do not like is you have to go online to block callers rather than blocking numbers from the phone and it prioritizes other calls or apps, so if you are driving down the road and google maps is on- it cuts in and out when giving directions or if someone calls or text when you are on the phone it cuts you out. This is difficult for a therapist. I think all the apps may be like this and or it may be an iPhone issue...but as a therapist it would be great if you could have the option of making Line2 prioritize over other apps, calls etc. Absolutely love it other than that! I have used it over 2 years now for my business and its been great! I highly recommend it.

Love it!

Been using this app for a few month, love it so far...

Better than Ringcentral

The app lets you choose to call out on cellular or Internet. Much better voice quality when you choose cellular and app is stable. And I have Verizon 4G service in Atlanta on an iPhone 6s, so that should tell you a lot about the reliability of calling out on VOIP all the time. The company Line2 does a great job of updates and keeping it stable and reliable.

Pretty good

Its a pretty good app for the price, only issue I have is that you cant block certain numbers from calling you. I run a business and I get a lot of telemarketing calls. Besides thats its cool!

Works great!

I love it! Does everything its supposed to. Ive been using this app for probably close to six or seven years, and it gets better over time. Highly recommended.

Great concept no customer service

I run a small but growing healthcare company. We recently started using line 2 as a business line so that I could easily access my calls while also allowing my office staff to answer calls for me. Although a bit bug prone it was working out for us until today. At midnight my husband received an email stating that out account would be closed. Our account was immediately locked. My husband realized he had forgotten to update the account with our new debit number. He immediately updated the information however the system refused to accept our bank information. We attempted to contact line 2. No email back... No fix ... Oh and phone customer service ... They literally DO NOT HAVE ANY. If you find a number their voice mail explains that they dont accept incoming calls. In the mean time ... I cant either because my phone number is locked still... Risking my customers for line 2 ... Absolutely not. Working on getting my number back now and getting as far away from this poorly run company as I can.

Why not for free!

Other apps offer unlimited calls and text and other services for free! You just have to stay active every 2 weeks!

Almost VERY awesome

Its been great to me for the years Ive had them. I love the call screening. Its helped stop phone scams. I dont give out my cell # to any business anymore, just my line2 # so I can screen calls. Very reliable and it seems to get better. Ive tried so many other solutions and this is by far the best

Nominal at best

It works is about all I can say. Ive had it for 5 years. Its always been buggy, they very slowly fix the bugs. My current gripe is the cut and paste is very clunky if it works at all. I only continue with it because the phone # is know to others.

Work in progress

Calls go right into voicemail, even if on cellular data or wireless. Had the iPhone 5 now iPhone 6, and Line2 still cannot seamlessly integrate with either phone. Overall its a great concept but I wish there was a better system worth my monthly subscription.

Nice concept, app works very poorly

I used this app for a business line because it was the only one that provides a number in my states area code. The app works really badly and there is no customer support. Here are some of the problems: 1. You cannot answer calls when the phone is locked or inactive; opening the phone will drop the call, which is really bad for business. The company just says to have all your calls forwarded to your main line, which totally defeats the purpose of a second line. 2. You cannot save contacts in Line2, which makes it essentially useless for business. Theres actually a page on the app called Line2 Contacts, its just nonfunctional, the company tells me. 3. You cannot see info on recent calls without dialing the caller back, which results in a lot of confused callers who get one-second calls from you when youre checking missed calls. 4. There is no customer support. There is no one to call when the app isnt working right. You can email, and their answer to everything is to make sure youre logged into the app. ?$&?!&&!! There are a lot of other bugs. This is a great idea for small business that completely doesnt work in its Line2 incarnation. Im trying BusinessCall instead.

Vastly improved

The app has improved significantly. Im a long time customer and considered an early adopter. App functions well and gets the job done of adding a secondary # to my iPhone. If youre a heavy text user the text history is not as robust as native capabilities. System stability is increased as its been a while since any system wide outages have occurred. The memories of 2 day outages while not fresh are still in memory still drive my 3star rating.

The "Personal Plan" is a waste of money

Get a Google-Voice number for free (or transfer yours for a one time fee of $20), download the Google Voice app and you have a better second line - with no monthly fees. With Google Voice you can receive calls the same way a regular call comes in - no need to unlock the screen and you can send and receive SMS text messages with ease. GV also sends VM transcripts via email and you have all your VMs and text messages available online for future reference. GV doesent yet offer the features provided by Line2 Business Plan (office directory for multiple lines etc.)
