Line2 - Second Phone Number App Reviews

Ive emailed twice for questions and had almost immediate responses. Love how seamless it works with my cell.

Line2 is great for texts and making calls. But needs a little work in receiving calls.

I have been using this App. For 3 years, it is convenient and great to use especially if u r outta USA and wants to make a local call or an international call per say. The MAJOR flaw that I have been facing is that in 25% of the calls I make, the conversation of the caller would repeat itself for multiple times, imagine u r speaking to a friend and this friend is telling u a story, what happens in the middle of the call is that it would record part of this story and keeps repeating it.. This is so strange.

Our business was using another company for our phone service, but they didnt offer text messaging. We researched and found that we could switch our business number over to Line2, and have all of the capabilities, text, Apple Watch, and both my business partner and I can use the same log in and communicate to clients using same number. It only took about 2 days for line 2 to switch our information over, and we couldnt be more thankful!! Awesome platform

I have had no issues with it. Have it on my iPhone so that I am carrying two phone numbers on one device!

Calls dont come in. Im alerted with a missed call notification. Ive stared at my phone and seen the notification come in. Everything else works great but these are important calls and if this is a constant flaw it deems it useless. *Update* Now I cant even make calls. Comes up error. Slowly becoming a waste of money.

Constantly dropping calls and pictures do not load most of the time. Its good for texting only

Love the app. worth the money but still could use some improvement on wify and answering procedure.

I use this one for flyers on real estate so I can track how much is coming in from Advertising. Love this app!

The positive reviews are very suspicious. 1- You will miss most calls because it either doesnt ring and goes straight to voice mailor it just beeps once unless youre in the app. Theres no option to change the tone or add vibrate either. 2-If youre on a call and your actual phone rings, Line2 call ends. 3- Recent calls is blank unless you click on something else and then go back, then you will see recent calls 4- Voicemail greeting says you have reached a line2 customer.. Really? 5- Voice to text doesnt work most of the times. 6- You cant block numbers. No way I can use this app for a business. Maybe for Craigslist add or something but thats what google voice is for and its free.

The app lets you choose to call out on cellular or Internet. Much better voice quality when you choose cellular and app is stable. And I have Verizon 4G service in Atlanta on an iPhone 6s, so that should tell you a lot about the reliability of calling out on VOIP all the time.

Its does well when it want to but have served a good purpose for business calling. They need to work on the call quality of Internet. It works better on cellular phone network. Ever good with text /photo message

I have been using line2 for a long time. There have been some ups and downs with the upgrades but I love it. Make sure you have good wifi before saying the app is at fault

Too often the phone does not ring or you cant answer it up when it does.

The line2 concept is great but the performance is inconsistent to the point one cant rely on it. Judging from the lack of updates, the company is content with this mediocre performance. The previously acceptable customer service is no more. Someone will likely come along and blow them out of existence. Complacency is death in technology.

Cant use a different ring tone or and message tone. I dont hear it half the time at work and miss calls. Trying to answer when phone is difficult.

It is very difficult to communicate cheaply by text or voice when traveling outside the US. I do it every month and its challenging. Line2 is by far the best thing Ive used yet, better than getting local SIMs, or WhatsApp or Verizons travel offerings or everything else Ive tried. I recommend this whole heartedly. Looking at the bad reviews, they seem to be from people who expect travel to be like staying home. For travelers, this is a real bargain, and I suspect charging for it allows it to be so much better.
