Line2 - Second Phone Number App Reviews

150 add

Voicemail + MMS ads says youve Reached Line2 customer

NOTE: Unlike Whatsapp, where you get the message notifications even when the app is closed. Here youve to keep the App open all the time, otherwise you wont get the text messages. Voicemail says youve Reached Line2 customer please leave a message. MMS, includes a link with an ad on both the website and the link. That this was sent by Line2!! This is a new low... As a paying customer, I expect to get free ads and a voicemail without announcing to the world the telecom company I choose. I switched from RingCentral which had it customizable for free and a fax.

So So

I really want to give this ap 5 stars, but in my experience (over 2 years) the call quality is a bit unpredictable and will drop signal not in relation to my data strength, which is confusing to say the least. I love a lot about this app and service, but when a phone so has problems with phone calls, one has to wonder.

text n call in and out, real #, but still goes offline!

Still goes offline (no calls or texts) with no warning or notification, and falsely shows online in app, after 5 years they wont fix their software. In silent mode it only vibrates one short time for a call! No choice of ringtones. But... theres no other voip (and just $15/mo unlimited) with local number takeover like a real phone company, full text and calling in and out to that number. So, I have no choice in the market!

Great app

This app is incredibly practical. It makes international calling really easy. I highly recommend it!

Inconsistent service with poor customer support

When the service works, it is very helpful. I find that service goes down in some capacity weekly, with text messages being delayed (or sometimes not received at all). Calls regularly struggle to connect, I often have to make several attempts to dial someone before it works. When Ive had issues and complained to their customer service my messages have been ignored, or Ive been directed to their website by someone to read updates on major technical issues they may be experiencing network wide. You cannot speak with anyone at Line2, only email communication, which becomes very frustrating when youre experiencing problems with the service youre paying for. The service is much cheaper than regular mobile phone service, but I dont think that should be an excuse to ignore customers. Net net--a cheap alternative to mobile service, but very spotty product and customer service quality.

Fantastic app

I really like this app. I upgraded and pay the monthly fee. I use the app for both personal and business calls. I have one local number that I can forward to another phone or cell and that transfer function works well. A few glitches here and there but nothing earth shattering. The email notification for messages is a great feature. I can be sitting in the Bahamas on vacation and get calls to my Canadian number - brilliant! Keep up the great work

The BEST GREAT App for the Family & US text/call

Strong wifi surely works all the time! Love it with all the features of a high tech phone can do! ThanksAlot Line2! More powèr!

Nag For Review

Nagging for a review earns you one star. Thats what happens developers.

Works really well...but its not perfect yet.

As the subject line indicates, all of the basic functionality works well, e.g., calls are clear and appear to be coming from a different number, texts are delivered quickly, etc. Suggestions for improvement: 1) Make it an option to block calls coming into the "real" mobile phone number instead of automatically putting Line2 calls on hold. 2) Work on enabling all functionalities with Bluetooth headsets...for example, the voice-to-text function does not work with a Bluetooth headset, only through the iPhone itself. 3) Eliminate the "Favorite Contacts" view in the calls history; it adds no value and only adds confusion.

Services

Not what I expected , call Quality vary and is not good . Just an email address for customer service and they never reply back Service is terrible !!! It keeps asking to disable Airplane mode ,!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works great, not perfect

Well put Ninsue, thus as been my experience too!

Ok app

Too many spam calls

Absolutely delighted!

I love the app. Ive always received prompt and great customer service.

If only there were other options

Im subscribed to the monthly $10+tax, hoping to get a number in my current city for buzzer purposes. I dont even use this app that often, but I find it difficult to connect calls! I have random missed calls without knowing, and the quality isnt that great - so even though Im home, I miss people buzzing me and packages. The company needs to streamline how to connect/answer calls. Rather than forwarding or requiring users to open the app to answer calls it would be best if it was simply rerouted/forwarded immediately - not the system they have now.

Seems to work well

Seems like a nice app. Pay a small amount monthly and save a lot on long distance fees. It works just like my regular phone...not fancy or complicated. Sound has been clear and have had no issues so far! Seems to use less data than other apps I have downloaded too! I was surprised when I was able to have an hour long conversation away from the house without my data feature running out!

Great app, wish it was a little less $ for the subscription :-)

Recommended!

The only one that works really

All the other apps didnt work for me at all. Grasshopper is way too expensive. Ring central is also expensive and buggy

Best VOIP so far

No doubt Line2 is the best among all others that I have tried over the last 6 years. I think its time for some further upgrade to benefit from the new 4G features but so far so good.

Dan0rama

Also agree with Ninsue. Also, at times, by the time I get to Line2 to receive a call, the caller has been disconnected. Savings are great.

Very glitchy app

Works ok for whats out there. There times I have to delete and reinstall the app and now its telling my I have no network connection. My wifi is at full plus I have data. So now I have to wait it out
